Privacy
Your journal is private. This notice explains exactly what Write Between the Lines keeps, who can read it, what the reflection guide is shown, and how to delete anything you have written.
What is stored
Your account email, your display name, the journals you create, their cover settings, your entries, the mood and date you attach to them, your check-in conversations with the guide, and your preferences.
Who can read it
Only you. Every piece of journal data is tied to your account and protected at the database level, so another signed-in person cannot reach it.
What the guide sees
When you talk to the Journal Guide, or ask it to reflect on an entry, that text is sent to an AI model to produce the response. It is never used to identify you, and requests are made from our server so no credentials or data pass through third parties in your browser. If you never ask for a reflection, your entry is never sent anywhere.
Deleting things
You can delete any single entry from the journal view, and delete a whole journal — with everything written in it — from its settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Not medical care
Write Between the Lines is a self-reflection and wellness tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy or emergency care. Urgent support is here.
